Eric Halliburton told a jury he molested two young girls, in part, because his parents died.
That jury sentenced him to 45 years in prison for aggravated sexual assault of a child, following two days of testimony.
He pleaded guilty Monday and let the 12 men and women determine his punishment.
Halliburton, 29, took the stand Wednesday morning, where he told jurors he moved in with his brother after his parents — with whom he had lived his entire life — died.
