Jurors recess for the night in Rockwell capital murder trial

FORT WORTH -- A Tarrant County jury deciding the punishment for convicted killer Kwame Rockwell deliberated for several hours on Thursday before breaking for the night.
Visiting Judge Elizabeth Berry sequestered the jurors, who were to have dinner together before being lodged in a hotel for the night.
Deliberations are scheduled to resume this morning.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for Rockwell for fatally shooting a 22-year-old convenience store clerk during a robbery in 2010.
However, jurors may choose to sentence him to life in prison without parole, as the defense asked.
