Jury will begin deliberations Friday in case against Port Arthur woman

BEAUMONT - A jury will begin deliberating tomorrow morning in the trial of a woman charged with beating her landlord and nearly killing her.
43-year-old Serena Johnson is charged with second degree aggravated assault.
Johnson is facing second degree aggravated assault charges for stabbing, beating, and dragging her 59-year-old landlord, Madeline Bailey, in October 2010.
Today prosecutors showed the jury a taped interview with the defendant.
Johnson told Port Arthur detectives she and Bailey had arguments about problems with Johnson's apartment.
