Llano Jury Finds Man Guilty of Sexual Assault

A Llano jury found 25-year-old Christian Uskanga-Torres guilty of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child on Wednesday, February 1 and sentenced him to 20 years in prison.
The trial began Monday before a six woman, six man jury. Uskanga-Torres pled not guilty to the charge.
Assistant District Attorney Stacy Street was the prosecutor for the State of Texas and Attorney Nina Willis represented the defendant. Laurie Brock, with the Llano County Sheriff’s Office, led the investigation.
According to testimony, the victim, a 13-year-old girl, was assaulted by Torres, in her family’s home. Torres and his wife, the victim’s oldest sister, were living in the home due to financial struggles.
