A man who worked as an erotic dancer at a now-defunct Austin strip club has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in an attack that left a club patron dead in 2010.

Maurice McKnight, 44, pleaded guilty Monday under an agreement with prosecutors, according to court documents. The terms of that agreement were not disclosed in his court file and prosecutor John Hunt declined to reveal them when reached today. McKnight’s lawyer could not be reached.

Sentencing is scheduled in state District Judge David Crain’s court on April 9. Manslaughter is a second-degree felony punishable by two to 20 years in prison.

McKnight worked as a dancer at La Bare, a club that was located on Interstate 35 near U.S. 290 and featured male strippers dancing for a mostly female audience.
