It wasn't Terrance Lee Harvey who opened fire and killed a man he had an altercation with earlier that day, but for getting the posse together, Harvey was sentenced Tuesday to almost half the prison time the shooter received.
Defense attorney Richard Langlois asked for no more than 20 years in prison, saying that Shann Alaric Rowan, who was sentenced in March to 99 years in prison, opened fire “on independent impulse.”
However, state District Judge Juanita Vasquez-Gardner gave Harvey 45 years for murder, the minimum that prosecutors asked for.
“For a non-shooter, I think it's an excellent sentence,” prosecutor Bill Pennington said. “The point is, he set this ball in motion and needs to be held responsible.”
