One pleads in theft, meth crime case

— One of those arrested last year and charged with being part of a group of people engaging in an organized theft and meth distribution ring across North Texas received 20 years in prison after pleading guilty in the case.
Ronnie Bynum Goza Jr., 40, pleaded guilty Jan. 9 to a charge of engaging in organized criminal activity and was sentenced to 20 years, according to court records.
Goza was reportedly on parole at the time and has been in the Parker County Jail since his arrest in March on multiple charges, including several burglary, theft and fraud related charges.
The group is believed to be responsible for trailer, diesel, equipment, hay and lumber thefts, vehicle burglaries, forged checks and distribution of large quantities of methamphetamine in the Parker, Tarrant, Wise and Hood counties areas since December, according to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office at the time.
