Robber gets 2 life sentences

WICHITA FALLS — A 78th District Court jury Tuesday assessed the maximum punishment of two life sentences and an additional 60-year sentence for a man convicted in a January 2010 armed robbery.
Anthony Dewayne Green, 29, was convicted of two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of aggravated assault on Monday. The charges stemmed from an incident on Jan.18, 2010 near 1105 Austin when Green pointed a firearm at a man in the street. He later returned and shot two additional victims inside an apartment during a robbery where Green took a small amount of cash and used tennis shoes.
Judge Barney Fudge imposed the sentence shortly after the verdict was handed-down.
