From the Williamson County District Attorney’s Office:
Edward Lamoyne King (dob 2/25/60) pleaded not guilty to aggravated assault of his wife. A jury found him guilty of threatening her with a knife. The jury, after hearing of an extensive criminal history, then sentenced him to 35 years in prison.
Judge Billy Ray Stubblefield immediately imposed the sentence and ordered King’s transfer from county jail to state prison. King will not be eligible for parole until he has served half of that sentence.
On August 30, 2010, at about 1:30 a.m., a Round Rock patrol officer responded to a 911 call from a concerned family member. The family member reported that King was threatening his wife with a knife at a home on Wagongap Drive.
