SAN ANTONIO - The teenager found guilty of shooting a pellet gun at a Bexar County Sheriff’s deputy was been sentenced to 10 years for the crime.
The unidentified 14-year-old youth was part of a group of teenagers who pulled up next to Sgt. Jose Trevino at a stop light at Interstate 35 and Walters Road back in August of 2011.
Trevino was in an unmarked vehicle when the teens opened fire. All of them were later arrested.
The mother of the teenager sentenced Thursday says she will do whatever it takes to make sure her son gets on the right path -- and stays there.
