Teenager sentenced to six months in state jail after pleading guilty to graffiti charge

CORPUS CHRISTI — A teenager was sentenced to six months without parole in state jail Tuesday for tagging a Corpus Christi recreation center.
Cody Salem, 17, pleaded guilty Monday to graffiti pecuniary loss of less than $20,000 to a recreation center in the 1100 block of Bernice Drive.
Salem was arrested Sept. 9 after a contractor doing housework near the center saw Salem writing on the walls and called police, Prosecutor Doug Mann said.
