After pleading guilty to felony theft Wednesday, Nikki Araguz, the transgendered woman fighting for survivor’s benefits in a Wharton County court, is back behind jail bars.
Held since Jan. 13 in the Harris County Jail after being tardy to court, Araguz was brought before state District Judge Vanessa Velasquez Wednesday.

Her attorney Jeff Downing reportedly told the judge Araguz had already paid back $2,800 in restitution for the Rolex watch she stole from a woman in a Houston bar on Feb. 24.
