CLEBURNE -- Tearful testimony from the families of Mark Anthony Soliz's victims brought an emotional end Thursday to the prosecution's case against the convicted killer.

Nancy Weatherly's grandsons, Riley and Rhett Davis, told jurors how much they miss their "fun-loving" Granny, who never missed a school or sports event and would drop everything on a moment's notice to go fishing.

"It was all about her grandkids," said Riley Davis, 18, a Godley High School senior. "She was always there for us if we needed something."

Rhett Davis, 13, testified that Weatherly spent days with him doing art and other projects at her home next door to his in rural Johnson County.

After this morning's closing arguments, the six-man, six-woman jury will begin deliberating whether to sentence Soliz to death or to life in prison without parole.
