Woman sentenced to 8 years for Whataburger stabbing

A Midland County jury found the woman accused of stabbing a group of women at a Whataburger in June 2010 guilty of assault with a deadly weapon and sentenced her to eight years in prison.
The seven man, five woman jury found Amber Marie Neuser, 25, guilty of a second-degree felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
She was found guilty shortly after closing arguments Wednesday morning by Assistant District Attorney Cannon Jones and defense attorney Brent Morgan. After two hours of deliberation on punishment, the jury returned at 4 p.m. and sentenced the defendant to eight years in prison as well as assessing a maximum fine of $10,000.
On July 26, 2010, the defendant was found to have participated in the vicious slashing and cutting of a young woman at Whataburger, Jones said.
