A 7-year-old girl who said Hector Chavarria inappropriately touched her took the witness stand Tuesday in the 406th District Court.Chavarria, 52, is on trial for aggravated sexual assault, a first-degree felony punishable by up to 99 years or life in prison.

Prosecutors allege that he assaulted the girl on Dec. 1, 2006.

The girl, who was 6 at the time of the alleged assault, told jurors she had gone over to Chavarria's home to play with one of his children.

While her friend was in the bathroom, the girl said, Chavarria put his mouth on her genitals.
