The trial of a Port Arthur teen who prosecutors believe has a piece of evidence lodged in his head will begin Tuesday.

Joshua Adams Bush, 19, is accused of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon as well as retaliating against a witness. The retaliation charge, a first-degree felony, is related to a car lot robbery prosecutors believe Bush was involved in. Bush faces a maximum sentence of life in prison on that charge.

Jefferson County prosecutors Ramon Rodriguez and David Lindenmuth aim to convince jurors that Bush was involved in the July 21, 2006, robbery at Olive's Used Cars in Port Arthur.

Investigators said they believe the bullet lodged in Bush's head was fired by Allen Olive, the manager of the car lot in question and a competitive shooter, according to The Enterprise's archives.
