Did you book a hotel room for the 2008 Annual in Galveston?
If so, please note that the hotel, no matter which one you chose, may have charged your credit card to hold the room. (We have fielded several calls this morning from members who noticed such charges on their cards.) This hold fee is standard procedure for reserving a room, but the hotels WILL REFUND THIS CHARGE when Galveston Island regains power. Hotel staff can do nothing at this point, as the entire place is still under water, without electricity, and with very few means of communication.
Please be patient and know that you will not be charged for your hotel stay.
