The Concealed Handgun Licensing Bureau is proud to announce the production of a new license. The new license contains enhanced security features and improved teslin, which are designed to discourage counterfeiting and tampering. (A prototype of the new license can be viewed by opening the .pdf file at the bottom of this page.)
The new Concealed Handgun License production is available now.
If you are a Judge / Prosecutor, you may request an initial replacement license at no additional cost. The distinction of Judge / Prosecutor will be printed on the new license.Download the CHL-71 form (available here: http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/ftp/forms/chl-71.pdf), sign it, and mail it to:
