VERNON — A new anti-drug program is starting up in Wilbarger County, according to 46th District Attorney Staley Heatly. Heatly said his office and the Texas Department of Public Safety Narcotics Division are working together on the program, which is designed to catch people involved in the manufacture of methamphetamine.
“We worked closely with DPS Narcotics Agent Mark Ball of Wichita Falls to review the pseudoephedrine logs in Wilbarger and other nearby counties. Through information gathered from pharmacy registries we have indicted several individuals for possession of pseudoephedrine with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine,” Heatly said.
