Girl takes stand, says neighbor touched her

ANGLETON — Using a purple and pink teddy bear, an
8-year-old girl showed a Brazoria County jury where she said she was
touched by her neighbor while he visited her parents’ Alvin home.
The
girl had gone to her room because she had a headache and wanted to go
to sleep. Her neighbor later walked into the room and sat in the bed
next to her, she said.
“I was asleep and he touched me there,” the girl said, holding the bear up for the jury.
The
girl was 6 years old in July 2007 when Aaron Schnelle, 27, reached
under her clothes and touched her genitals, she testified.
