Man gets 75 years for Whataburger robbery

KAUFMAN
-- A 35-year-old Mesquite man has earned a 75-year prison sentence for
his involvement in a 2008 robbery of a Forney fast food restaurant.
A
jury handed down Ronald Willis Hollins’ sentence Wednesday in Judge
Howard Tygrett’s 86th District Courtroom at the Kaufman County
Courthouse in Kaufman. Along with accomplices Christopher Paul
Edmondson, 35; Richmond Lorenzo Littlejohn, 33; and Dorian Douglas
Worlds, 27; all of Dallas; Hollins was charged with armed robbery for
his role in a May 28, 2008 incident at the Whataburger restaurant,
located on U.S. Highway 80 in Forney.
The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. as the suspects used what appeared to be a firearm to rob two female employees.
Using
a description of the suspects’ vehicle, Forney police apprehended the
suspects in Mesquite with the help of the Dallas County Sheriff’s
Office following a 20-minute high speed chase that reached 110 mph at
times.
