Euless mom gets two years in jail for driving drunk

FORT WORTH — A 38-year-old Euless woman has begun serving a two-year sentence in the Tarrant County Jail for being drunk when her sport utility vehicle crashed in October 2008, injuring eight teenagers, including her twin daughters who were out celebrating their birthday.
Brenda Rodgers was sentenced Friday and taken into custody, according to Tarrant County court records. She will have to serve five years on probation after she is released from jail, records show.
She pleaded guilty to charges of driving while intoxicated with a child, endangering a child and injury to a child.
Rodgers had been free since posting $20,000 bail shortly after her arrest on Nov. 6, 2008.
