Admitted rapist gets 30 years

A Lubbock judge on Tuesday sentenced an admitted rapist and burglar to 30 years in prison for sexually assaulting a stranger last year.

Kevin Price pleaded guilty to burglary of a habitation and aggravated sexual assault. He opted to let Judge Cecil Puryear decide his punishment.

Puryear admonished Price after sentencing the 21-year-old to prison.

"You are the worst thief in the world - the thief that comes in the night," Puryear said. "Thirty years is probably inadequate, but it will give you lots of time to think."
