Witness: 'Judge, I think my water broke'

Kimberly Alexander gave her testimony in a murder trial in the 240th
District Court on Wednesday afternoon and then was excused.
But she didn’t get a chance to leave the stand.
“She looked up and said, ‘Judge, I think my water just broke,’” said
Judge Thomas R. Culver III, who presides over the 240th District Court.
Court proceedings paused so bailiffs and emergency medical services
workers could tend to Alexander, who was due between now and Feb. 24,
Culver said.
