More than 530 people lined up outside the Crighton Theatre Wednesday as potential jurors were vetted for a capital murder case transferred to Montgomery County.

Blaine Keith Milam, 20, of Rusk County, is accused of the brutal beating death of 13-month-old Amora Carson. Carson’s mother – Jessica Bain Carson – also has been charged with capital murder.

Authorities in Rusk County believe Milam and Jessica Carson killed the child in December 2008 with a hammer while attempting to perform an exorcism, according to court documents, the Longview News-Journal reported.

Milam was reported to be Jessica Carson’s fiancee, according to several East Texas news sources.
