Lawyer says his client stabbed Cedar Hill woman but didn't mean to kill her

As she took a midmorning walk through her Cedar Hill neighborhood, 67-year-old Dottie Reiter was stabbed to death by Theron Lacey.
"He stabbed her with such force it went through her jacket, her sweatshirt, her T-shirt, her bra, her skin, her bone, her lung," Assistant District Attorney Kate Pfeifle told Dallas County jurors in closing arguments of Lacey's capital murder trial Wednesday afternoon.
"Then he took the knife out and did it again. If that's not specific intent to kill, I don't know what is."
Lacey's attorney acknowledged his client is guilty. But jurors, who resume deliberations today, have to decide whether he meant to do it.
