Jury selection begins today for the trial of John Brendan Flowers, 19, accused of multiple counts of sexual assault and indecency charges against three underage victims.

Flowers pleaded not guilty to a total of eight counts of sexual assault, aggravated sexual assault and indecency with a child.

Flowers first was charged last May with aggravated sexual assault filed by 198th district attorney Amos Barton. Four more charges of sexual assault and one charge of indecency with a child were filed in June.
