Perry reappoints Ghigna to crime victim council

AUSTIN –
Gov. Rick Perry has appointed three members and reappointed six members
to the Crime Victims’ Institute Advisory Council. The council advises
the Crime Victims' Institute regarding the compilation and study of
information on the impact of crime to victims, relatives, guardians and
society, and assists the institute to develop policies to prevent the
victimization of society by crime.
Nancy Ghigna of The Woodlands
is director of the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office Victim
Assistance Division. She received a bachelor’s degree from Wheaton
College. Ghigna is reappointed for a term to expire Jan. 31, 2012.
Victoria
Camp of Austin is deputy director of the Texas Association Against
Sexual Assault. She received a bachelor’s degree from Colorado State
University and a master’s degree in Educational Psychology from the
University of North Carolina. Her term will expire Jan. 31, 2012.
