Deliberations will continue today in the capital murder sentencing trial of John Wade Adams.
Adams, 47, was convicted of the murder of DeSoto resident Donna Vick, 52, in 1998 along with Gregory Wright. Both were sentenced to death, but a court last year granted Adams a new trial on the grounds that jurors did not have a chance to hear mitigating circumstances, such as about his difficult childhood, that might have led them to give him life in prison instead of the death penalty.

Lollar told jurors of Adams' abusive, neglect-filled childhood and reminded them that Adams called police and reported the murder.
