FORT WORTH -- Sharon Hayden Harvey keeps reminders of her daughter, Ginger Lynn Hayden, all around her.
The senior picture of the Arlington Heights High School graduate graces the bookcase in her Decatur living room.
In her daughter's memory, she changed her middle name to Hayden.
And around her neck, she wears the gold cross that once belonged to her only daughter.
"They took it off her in the funeral home," Harvey said. "I've been wearing it ever since."
Now, just days away from the 26th anniversary of her 18-year-old daughter's murder, Harvey said she has found solace at a time usually reserved for tears.
On Monday morning, a 43-year-old former classmate and neighbor of Ginger Hayden's was arrested in Sierra Vista, Ariz., on a capital murder warrant, based on DNA evidence.
