U.S. v. Alvarado-Valdez - 5th Circuit

Unlike when a Confrontation Clause violation arises from the denial of a defendant's right to impeach a witness for bias, when inadmissible hearsay testimony is introduced, the government must show beyond a reasonable doubt that the tainted evidence did not contribute to the conviction. U.S. v. Alvarado-Valdez, 99-40370 [1].
