FORT WORTH — A former Hurst Putt-Putt employee accused of killing an assistant manager at the business during an October 2006 robbery was convicted Wednesday of capital murder.

Paul Storey, 23, of Fort Worth showed no emotion when a Tarrant County jury returned a guilty verdict after about two hours of deliberations. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty in the punishment phase of the trial in Criminal District Court No. 3.

His alleged accomplice, Mark Porter, 22, is also charged with capital murder in the shooting death of Jonas Cherry, 28. Prosecutors are also seeking the death penalty against Porter; his trial is scheduled to start in a few weeks.
