(Crockett, Pecos, Reagan, Sutton, and Upton). We have an opening for an Assistant District Attorney and we are seeking a motivated prosecutor to join our team in the Fort Stockton office.
Salary: $60,839 annually
Handle all aspects of Misdemeanor Prosecution including case intake, plea negotiations, investigation, preparation and trial of misdemeanor and Justice of the Peace cases.
Licensed attorney: member in good standing with the State Bar of Texas, prior criminal law experience preferred, but not required.
The Office of the District Attorney, 293rd Judicial District, is seeking an assistant district attorney.
This is a three-county district, with the main office in the border city of Eagle Pass, two and a half hours southwest of San Antonio.
The position involves prosecution of felony criminal cases from intake through trial.
The successful applicant must demonstrate ability to work both independently and as part of a team, including supervision of support staff.
We anticipate an opening in our office beginning November, 2014. The position will be responsible for handling intake and screening, drafting indictments, pretrial matters, contested revocations, bench and jury trials. Experience in media presentation and courtroom technology will be an asset. Prior prosecution experience preferred. Applicants can expect to be trying jury trials immediately. Please do not apply unless you are very willing to try felony criminal cases, as we have two district courts with active trial dockets.

The Henderson County Attorney’s Office is accepting applications for an Assistant County Attorney. All applicants must be licensed to practice law in Texas with one to two years prior experience preferred.
Duties will include prosecution of criminal misdemeanors and juvenile cases, researching county and government legal issues, representing the State in mental commitment hearings, and preparation of bond forfeiture cases. Prior experience in county government helpful but not necessary.
