For the first time in decades, our Annual Criminal & Civil Law Update—our biggest conference of the year—is foregoing the Texas coast for the beautiful River Walk in centrally located San Antonio. In addition to multiple tracks of specialized training for trial prosecutors, civil practitioners, investigators, key personnel staff, and victim assistance coordinators, we’re also offering of-the-moment talks on immigration, marijuana legalization, extradition, plea bargaining, prosecuting peace officers, legislative changes to Child Protective Services, and crisis intervention.

That alone sounds like a great week, right? But there’s more! Before the Annual Update starts on Wednesday afternoon, you can take advantage of many bonus training opportunities! On Tuesday the 19th, we offer free domestic violence training and our ground-breaking Legislative Update (which requires separate registration and payment). On Wednesday morning, get started right with our always-popular rural prosecutors’ forum, or network with peers in the juvenile prosecutors’ forum.

And with our prime location on the River Walk, we wanted to give attendees the chance to enjoy the beautiful surroundings, so on Thursday night, in lieu of a reception hosted by TDCAA, attendees can have dinner and drinks at any one of the dozens of restaurants, bars, and cafes on the River Walk. Many of these establishments offer discounts to convention-goers with a name badge, so you can sample what San Antonio has to offer.

You won’t want to miss the Annual Update in sunny San Antonio! We hope to see you there.

Hotel Information

Note: Please be cognizant of other offices when reserving multiple rooms. Overbooking rooms and NOT canceling them before the cut-off date creates unused rooms that can become a financial responsibility to TDCAA and causes offices to book non-TDCAA hotels at a much higher rate.

Please make room reservations in an attendee’s name, not a county or office administrator’s name. If reserving more than one room, do not make all reservations in the same name. TDCAA is allotted a certain number of rooms at the state rate so please do not overbook hotel rooms! All rates are plus taxes and you must identify yourself with TX District & County Attorneys Association (or TDCAA) to get the special rates.
