Hate crime training in Arlington on September 27

The Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law is co-sponsoring a hate crimes training with the Matthew Shepard Foundation for the Arlington Police Department, surrounding police departments, and local prosecutors on September 27. The training is designed to teach law enforcement officials how to identify a hate crime, properly investigate hate crimes and engage with the victim and affected community, federal and state hate crime laws, and effectively prosecute hate crimes cases. The training also serves as CLE credit for attorneys, pending approval from the Texas Bar Association.
