Training Webinar

Our one-hour online training course on a prosecutor’s duty to disclose exculpatory and mitigating evidence and information satisfies the mandatory training requirement pursuant to §41.111 Texas Government Code.  Under that section, every attorney prosecuting a criminal case other than a Class C misdemeanor must complete one hour of instruction on a prosecutor’s duty to disclose such evidence and information. In addition, every attorney completing this online course will receive one hour of MCLE – Ethics from the State Bar of Texas.

Important Note: If you originally took the mandated course in 2014, you will need to take an updated course in 2018.  That course will be available through TDCAA for free at the end of September 2018. Re-taking the 2014 course available here for newly-hired prosecutors will NOT meet the refresher course requirement.  If you have any questions, please call Rob Kepple at 512/474-2436.

Below are the reference materials related to Brady and the duty to disclose exculpatory and mitigating evidence and information.
