Assistant County Attorney – Litigation

Posting Description

The Harris County Attorney’s Office (HCAO) represents Harris County, its departments, elected and appointed officials, and employees in all civil matters that involve county business. The HCAO also represents the Harris County Hospital District, the Harris County Flood Control District, the Harris County Appraisal Review Board, and the Greater 911 Emergency Network, which are separate legal entities.

The Attorney provides legal services in matters involving litigation and insures that the Office of the County Attorney appropriately prosecutes and defends the litigation. The Attorney works with other members of the Office of the County Attorney and other county employees who may have knowledge about the litigation.

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university
• State Bar of Texas licensure with good standing
