Position: Appellate Prosecutor
Location: McKinney, Texas
Salary: $91,525 – $126,678 (plus benefits)
JOB SUMMARY
Collin County is seeking candidates for the position of Appellate Prosecutor. This position will be responsible for representing the State in non-capital and capital direct appeals, non-capital and capital state-habeas proceedings, and certiorari proceedings in the United States Supreme Court. The position also provides some support to the felony trial prosecutors and may assist with other tasks designated by the District Attorney.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must have: (1) specialized knowledge in a professional or technical field, normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor’s degree; (2) a Doctorate of Jurisprudence and be licensed by the State of Texas to practice law; and (3) prior experience in the practice of criminal appellate law.
