The Brazos County District Attorney’s office is currently accepting applications for an Assistant District Attorney to work in our Child Protective Services Division. This position requires a thorough knowledge of law enforcement and Child Protective Services (Texas Department of Family and Protective Services) procedures. This position is directly responsible for handling all Child Protective Services cases and may be tasked with assisting in the prosecution of juvenile cases, asset forfeitures, and bail bond forfeitures. Additionally, all Assistant District Attorneys may be required to assist with other functions and duties within the office as assigned by their Supervising Attorney and/or the District Attorney.
Salary is $64,000-$90,000 commensurate with experience, plus county benefits, with paid State Bar Dues, and CLE. QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and a J.D. (law) degree are required. The individual must have a Texas Law license and be in good standing with the State Bar of Texas. Prior prosecution experience is preferred but not required. Must pass criminal background check.
