The Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office is seeking a full-time Justice Court (JP) prosecutor.  Applicants should be Texas licensed attorneys in good standing with at least one year of job-related experience.  Relevant internship or advocacy experience preferred.

Part of a team of two, the JP Prosecutor handles the prosecution of Class C Misdemeanor offenses in the six justice courts.  The position reviews, prosecutes and presents cases to judges and juries.  Also counsels local law enforcement, researches legal issues, negotiate plea bargains, and is responsible for discovery production.  The ability to work independently with limited supervision is key.
