Assistant District Attorney -Juvenile Chief Prosecutor

The Brazos County District Attorney’s Office has an open position for a Juvenile Chief Prosecutor. Must be currently licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and have an interest in Juvenile Law. Over three (3) years of experience is preferred. Duties include evaluation and prosecution of felony and misdemeanor juvenile offenses.  The prosecutor will be expected to evaluate cases, contact victims, work with law enforcement officers, engage in plea negotiations with defense attorneys, and try appropriate cases to jury verdicts. 
 
Starting salary ranges between $100,000 to $130,000 depending on experience.  Benefits include coverage of MCLE costs and bar dues as well as excellent retirement and health insurance.
