Border Prosecution Attorney – grant funded

The Lubbock County District Attorney’s Office has a grant position open, under a grant from the Governor’s office, for an attorney to be assigned to the Border Prosecution Unit.  This position will be housed at the Texas Anti-Gang Center, under the supervision of the Lubbock County DA.

This position is for an experienced candidate who has worked in all aspects of felony prosecution, including but not limited to, case intake, preparation, Grand Jury and all aspects of trial.  The candidate should also have an extensive history of reviewing and writing search warrants, and a close working relationship with law enforcement.

The candidate must have graduated from an accredited law school and be currently licensed to practice law in Texas.  Two to three years of prosecutorial experience is preferred, but other candidates may be considered, depending on experience.
The starting salary is $75,000, but negotiable depending on experience.
