Felony Prosecutor

The Brazos County District Attorney’s Office is seeking a felony level prosecutor.  Duties will include evaluation and prosecution of felony criminal offenses. The prosecutor will be expected to evaluate cases, contact victims, work with law enforcement officers, engage in plea negotiations with defense attorneys and try appropriate cases to jury verdicts. 

Brazos County is the home of Texas A&M University and has been voted one of the best places to live in Texas due to the quality of schools, crime rates, housing trends, employment, and access to amenities. Brazos County is only 90 minutes from Austin, Waco, and Houston, TX.

Applicants must be licensed by and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas and possess at least three years of job-related experience. Starting salary ranges between $85,000 and 124,000 depending on experience.  Benefits include MCLE costs, bar dues, an excellent retirement, and insurance.
