JOB TITLE: Assistant Criminal District Attorney – Felony Prosecutor II
JOB SUMMARY: The Felony Prosecutor II job description includes prosecuting felonies from intake through trial or other disposition, and advising law enforcement in criminal matters. Prosecutors who desire may assist with appeals for the cases they try. The elected DA encourages professional advancement and has supported multiple prosecutors obtaining board certification and specialized training through attending advanced CLE conferences.
This position is for a prosecutor who enjoys litigating cases, so experience in the courtroom is preferred, but is guaranteed with this position.

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas and have a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited Law School. Applicant must have a professional attitude, be an effective communicator, a multi-tasker and a self-starter. Must pass criminal background check and take/pass drug screen. Must have valid TX driver’s license and be insurable by Comal County Insurance provider.
SALARY: E13 – Starting at $78,851.50/annually – salary will be commensurate with experience. Benefits include employee paid medical, retirement, other employee supplemental coverage, as well as paid State Bar dues and CLE, paid vacation and sick leave.
