69th Judicial District Attorney’s Office – Trial Attorney

The 69th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is looking for an experienced trial attorney to handle felony trials. This district consists of Moore, Dallam, Sherman and Hartley counties in west Texas. Our office currently consists of four administrative assistants, one Assistant District Attorney, an investigator, and the District Attorney. We take pride in serving our district by successfully prosecuting cases to keep our community safe as well as serving as a resource for our law enforcement.

The ideal candidate will have tried at least 5 criminal jury trials to verdict and will have the ability to take over the trial caseload at the time of hire with little to no supervision. As the trial attorney, you can expect at least one trial setting a month with several cases each setting. Additionally, you must be professional, have the ability to work independently, and fit in with our smaller office environment.   

Located in the most northwestern district in Texas, our office in Dumas is a day’s drive away from Denver, Taos, Oklahoma City, Colorado Springs, and Santa Fe.

Salary Range: $90,000 to $100,000 (depending on qualifications and experience) plus benefits

Professional Qualifications: Licensed by the State of Texas and be in good standing with the State Bar of Texas
