An Assistant District Attorney (ADA) assigned to the Intake division will be under the supervision of the Ector County District Attorney and will primarily handle felony and misdemeanor cases of all types.
PRIMARY DUTIES: This position can be 100% remote after initial training. An Intake ADA will handle felony or misdemeanor cases assigned to them and shall be responsible for reviewing and preparing felony cases for indictment and misdemeanor cases to be filed. Our office uses Odyssey and Evidence.com. The office will provide a computer. ADA will be required to provide their own reliable internet connection and work space.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Juris Doctorate and State Bar of Texas license to practice law. Attorneys with 5+ years of experience as a prosecutor will be given preference.
SALARY: Depending on experience (DOE) plus excellent benefits; working days & hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm; occasional after hours depending on court hearings. As a remote ADA, work hours will vary based on your preference as long as the ADA works 40 hours per week and completes assigned cases. Total compensation package ranges from $90,000 to $130,000.
