County Attorney’s Office Investigator

The Pecos County Attorney’s Office is accepting applications for the position of Investigator.  This office prosecutes adult misdemeanor and juvenile criminal cases.  We are a small office with one attorney, one investigator, and four support staff.

Duties:

  1. Act as liaison between the County Attorney’s Office and local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
  2. Review case reports, criminal history, and obtain prior conviction information for filing a case.
  3. Maintain and submit all TCOLE required information and reports.
  4. Assist the County Attorney during hearings and trial proceedings.
  5. Assist office staff with Spanish speaking defendants & victims if bilingual.
  6. Attend law enforcement continuing education annually.
  7. Perform other duties requested by the County Attorney.

Job Requirements:

Must have a current minimum Intermediate Peace Officer Certificate from TCOLE.  Must have strong people skills and willingness to work with and assist co-workers.  Must have a basic knowledge of  Microsoft Office software.  Our office uses Tyler Technology Navigator software.  Bilingual helpful but not required.

Salary:

Based on experience.
