The Human Resources Department is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Criminal District Attorney – Misdemeanor with the Comal County Criminal District Attorney’s Office. Applicants must be licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas. Must pass criminal background check and take/pass drug screen. Must have valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable by Comal County Insurance provider.

E12 – $74,275.32 – $90,615.88/annually, salary will be commensurate with experience. Benefits include employee paid medical, retirement, other employee supplemental coverage, as well as paid State Bar dues and CLE, paid vacation and sick leave.

Working under the direct supervision of the Chief Misdemeanor Prosecutor, the Attorney

Misdemeanor must have thorough knowledge of law enforcement procedures. The individual has the responsibility for the supervision of no employees. Individual has daily contact with the public and is responsible for assisting the Criminal District Attorney with trying cases and handling legal matters.

Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a four-year college or university and a J.D. (law) degree are required. The individual should possess a thorough working knowledge of law enforcement and court procedures and practices.
