Assistant District Attorney – Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office – Conroe, Texas
The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office is looking for a talented advocate to fill an entry-level misdemeanor prosecutor position. Duties will include evaluation and prosecution of misdemeanor criminal offenses. This prosecutor will be expected to represent the State in criminal misdemeanor prosecutions in the County Courts at Law and Justice of the Peace courts. The prosecutor will be expected to evaluate cases, contact victims, work with law enforcement officers, and try appropriate cases to jury verdicts.
Applicants must be licensed by and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas. Starting salary is roughly $72,000 but may be adjusted based on experience. Benefits include high-level training, able leadership, MCLE costs, bar dues, an excellent retirement, and insurance.
The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office is located in Conroe, Texas, 40 miles north of Houston. The staff of 52 attorneys serves a rapidly growing population of over 500,000 residents.
