Felony Investigator

The Midland County District Attorneys Office is seeking an actively licensed peace officer to fill a Felony Investigator position. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, have five years investigation experience with a law enforcement agency, hold an Advanced or Master certificate from TCOLE, and hold a valid class C driver’s license.

Felony Investigators are under the direct supervision of the Chief Investigator and the Midland County District Attorney. An Investigator may be asked to perform investigations as directed by the District Attorney or Chief Investigator. This may include, but not limited to cold cases, cases involving public integrity, child abductions, and hot check cases.  Additionally, Felony Investigators with the Midland County District Attorneys Office are assigned to a trial team and work closely with the attorneys and support staff for that court. This includes locating witnesses and victim for interviews or court, serving subpoenas, obtaining copies of documents, and assisting attorneys in court.
